I enjoy making pieces that challenge one's usual notions of jewelry, and creating pieces that incorporate moving parts. I’ve employed the use of those fun, kinetic qualities in this Labyrinth Game ring. Based upon a classic children’s toy, three stainless steel ball bearings smoothly circle three tracks. Each track has a small opening, allowing the ball bearings to move freely from one to the next. The aim, of course, is to get all three silver balls into the center at once.

This ring is made by hand in my small jewelry studio, entirely of sterling silver with three stainless steel ball bearings. The top measures approx. 25mm (1”) in diameter and 3.5mm tall, with a 6mm wide domed band. The ball bearings move about freely but cannot come out — and make a pleasant sound as they roll around. Set upon a domed sterling silver band and tumbled to a matte finish. This ring is currently available in sizes 4-13.

Due to the nature of these rings, they cannot easily be made smaller and can often be stretched larger by only a half size. I would be happy to send you a free ring sizer. Once you have received the sizer, you can place your order with an accurate size. Using the ring sizer is an easy way to determine your size or double-check your size if you already know it.
